On Jan 26 we went go-cart racing. I was scared at first, but then I went twice.

I went to school and rode my bike around. As I went I made up the song on the next page.

And see my sis and friends.

Dad hung up the eagle I got for Christmas.

We have a smoke detector.

Speaking of photos, I have only one picture of Q. Only one souvenir of the incredible bird who could climb up his cage backwards, skinny through his seed cups, and flew to me like a falcon.

Jan. 25 (morning)

It's very windy outside. I love windy days. They make me feel like trying to fly. When I try, I feel like I AM flying!

Went to beer can place and got $9.35!

I don't have much time, so I'll write the big events:

A. Had Proficiency Tests at school.
B. Found beautiful picture of CWA, KB, and Pure-Heart.
C. Wrote more on Part 4. Staru rescued by Persephone.
D. Daddy went to Phila.
E. Went to scout meeting.
F. Learned about ratio and proportion.
G. Got deodorant.

Kari gave me a composition book to write part 4 in! Now I have another Staru book! Hooray!

I went to the doctor's office. He gave me a shot and cut my mole off.

I'm going to give the names above to animals for the R books.

Nathan has appendicitis. I was supposed to bring his homework to him, but I forgot. Mom had to type it up.

For Christmas Aunt L gave me a sewing basket. It's brown and white on the outside, with beautiful beige pillows inside. I can't stop touching them.

Jan. 21

Kari came today and we played with the horses. At one time I was stable-girl for a blood-bay racer named Sanguine. Sanguine means "blood" or "bloody."

Kari is replacing Lori. I must stop her, but how? I can't abruptly desert her, that's for certain. I've already forgotten half my hawks' names, and I can barely remember my horses' names! (The yearlings Lori gave me.) I HAVE forgotten what Lori looks like! Oh, no! I just CAN'T let it happen!

Lori opened up a new world for me! I can't lose her! Can I hold out till April?

She always has loads of fun with Chief Anderson, 7-Zark-7, Mark, Princess, Tiny, Keeta, Jason, Kurt, and the others. I have no fun at all, but I don't care.

I just noticed that when I wrote "7-Zark-7" it looks exactly the same as when Lori wrote it. I am fond of writeing (oops!) down things like that.

I perfumed this page with Sweet Honesty.

I just learned an unusual girl's name, Siobhan. It's the Irish form of Joan.

I went to play with Kari today. She invented two sisters named S and M T. Their father is the captain of the Galaxian Battlestar. My grandmother was Lika T.
